FLINT, MI – Financial Plus Credit Union and the Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their 15th annual Whatchamacallit networking event on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The event was held at Financial Plus Credit Union’s main office located at G-3381 Van Slyke Rd. This highly attended premier event aims to raise money and donations to benefit the Old Newsboys and Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

“We look forward to hosting this event each year with the Swartz Creek Chamber. The support and donations we receive from the attendees helps two great causes, and it really brings out the holiday spirit in all of our guests. We are elated to present a check to the Old Newsboys of Flint in the amount of $1,975. These funds go toward helping children in need in our community by providing them shoes, a coat, and a toy on Christmas.” said Olga Long, Senior Vice President of Financial Plus Credit Union.

The networking event allows local business professionals to interact with hundreds of businesses and community professionals, while benefiting the local charities. Monetary donations and non-perishable food items will be accepted throughout the event. 100% of funds raised will go directly towards the Old Newsboys and all food items go directly towards the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, assisting those in great need during holiday the season.

Whatchamacallit was filled with holiday cheer, music from local radio stations, prize drawings, a breakfast buffet, and a photo booth from Freeze Frame Photo Lounge. The Gingerbread Man made an appearance announcing guests from the naughty and nice list. CK 105.5, Cars 108, 103.9 The Fox, NASH FM 95.1 and Banana 101.5 broadcasted live from the event all morning long.
