FLINT, MI – Financial Plus Credit Union awarded 20 bikes to winners of their “Kids Bike Giveaway” social media contest. The contest ran July through August on the Financial Plus Facebook page.

“We developed this contest to share our passion for physical and financial wellness with the youth in our community. We would like to extend our appreciation to everyone who submitted an entry and participated in our bike giveaway,” said Olga Long, Vice President of Strategic Growth and Marketing.

Facebook followers entered the contest by placing a comment for the child they nominated along with his or her favorite color and hashtag #FPCUBikeGiveaway. After commenting, followers had to “LIKE” and share the contest post – and were entered. Financial Plus volunteers put together each bike for the winners.

The winners included: Alecia H., Cathy B., Tamera K., Stephanie B., Michelle A., Ellen P., Quayeria R., Karen J., Shahia S., Lisa R., Amanda T., Porsha M., Dann B. Sr., Lynn C., Rachel V., Jessica F., Davina M., Amanda R., and Mark H.

“As an organization, we have a passion for connecting with our community through our social media channels. Our platforms are an outlet where we continually use to share educational tips, giveaways, current promotions, and show ways we are giving back to the community,” said Kristen Brisbin, Public Relations and Social Media Specialist.
