Financial Plus Credit Union Breaks Ground on New Holly Branch

FLINT, MI – Financial Plus Credit Union is continuing its Michigan expansion with the groundbreaking of its newest branch in Holly, marking another step forward in the credit union’s growing presence.
The new Holly branch, located at 4049 Grange Hall Rd., is expected to open its doors in early 2027. Financial Plus leaders, along with Holly Chamber of Commerce President Richard Kinnamon, Fire Chief Jeremy Watson and Chris Veleno, DEI Corp. site manager for the project, gathered at the future branch site to mark the beginning of construction and celebrate the next chapter of the credit union’s growth.
“We’re excited to officially see this project get underway,” said Brad Bergmooser, President and CEO of Financial Plus. “Holly is a community with a lot of pride, and we look forward to becoming an even bigger part of it. From supporting local organizations and businesses to helping members navigate their financial goals, we’re eager to put down roots in Holly.”
The Holly location was announced earlier this year as part of Financial Plus’s expansion into Oakland and Livingston Counties, which also includes new branches in White Lake and Hartland. The expansion builds on Financial Plus’s longstanding presence in Genesee County and the Great Lakes Bay Region and follows the recent opening of its newest branch in Bay City.
“This groundbreaking is a fun milestone, but it really represents what’s to come,” said Colby Hipkins, future Branch Manager of Financial Plus’s Holly location. “We’re building more than a branch in Holly. We're building an environment where our branch team can actively engage with the community, deepen relationships with our members, and build strong partnerships with local businesses.
With a strong existing member presence in Holly, the new branch will give Financial Plus an opportunity to deepen those relationships while welcoming new members throughout the community. The new location will give members greater access to personalized service and financial guidance close to home.
