Financial Plus Credit Union Offering Annual Scholarships for Students in Michigan

FLINT, MI –
Financial Plus Credit Union’s “Reach for Success” Scholarship application period is now open and will award ten students with a $1,000 scholarship. Eligible applicants include high school students graduating in 2026 and full-time college or university students with a minimum 2.5 GPA, as well as students attending trade school. Applications are open through April 17, 2026.
The candidate must complete the application with a short essay (500 words or less) answering the prompt: Think about how ready you are for a successful money future, do you feel prepared, why or why not? Share one specific thing you wish you had learned about money earlier in life. Talk about how you're going to learn it now and how it can help you do well in the future.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must complete and submit the following: scholarship application, essay, letter of recommendation, and a transcript. Designated scholarship judges at Financial Plus Credit Union will review all scholarship entries and award the scholarship recipients based on attaining all eligibility requirements and essay content.
